Weekly Storytimes - August 31 - December 17

Storytimes are free and no registration is required. All storytimes are designed with age-appropriate activities that include books, music, nursery rhymes and fingerplays.

There will be NO storytimes November 22 - 26.
Mother Goose Time
Designed for birth – 24 months and their caregivers.
Duration : 20 min.
Tuesdays – 9:30 a.m. – prewalkers
Tuesdays – 10:30 a.m. – walkers

Thursdays – 9:30 a.m. – walkers
Time for Twos
For 2-year olds & their caregivers.
Duration: 30 min.
Tuesdays – 11:15 a.m.
Wednesdays – 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays – 10:30 a.m.
On Your Own Time
For 3, 4 & 5 year-olds without their caregivers.
Duration: 30 min.
Tuesdays – 1:30 p.m.
Thursdays – 11:15 a.m.
Pajama Time
Family storytime for kids birth to 5 year-olds and their families.
Duration: 30 min.
Tuesdays – 7 p.m.

Make and Take Craft
Held in the second floor Storytime Room, at 10 a.m. on the first Saturday of every month.
Children, ages 2 -5, will make a different craft each month. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver

Movies for Kids

Held in the second floor Storytime Room. Come to the Library the second Friday of each month to watch a movie on the big screen. B.Y.O.S. Bring your own snacks!  Recommended for ages 3 and up, but all are welcome. All movies are rated G. Please call for information about movie titles, 407-623-3300, ext. 4.


September 10, 10 a.m. - After Aladdin discovers the Genie in the lamp, he uses his wishes to help win the heart of Princess Jasmine, despite the evil tricks of the Grand Vizier Jafar. 90 min.
October 8, 10 a.m. - Animted adaptation of E.B. White's novel about Charlotte the spider and her friendship with Wilbur the Pig.94 min.
November 12, 10 a.m. - Tinker Bell and her fairy friends are trying to change summer into fall and get ready for the big fall celebration, and learn about the magic of true friendship along the way. 80 min.
December 10, 10 a.m. - When Puppy Paws, the fun-loving son of Santa Paws, gets tired of the North Pole, he finds Budderball on Santa's naughty list and figures he's just the dog to show him how to be an ordinary pup. 88 min.
January 14, 10 a.m. - Belle, whose father Maurice is imprisoned by the Beast (really an enchanted Prince), offers herself instead and finds the prince inside the Beast. 90 min.
February 11, 10 a.m. - The story of a clever little hero on a great big adventure. Join the Sherlock Holmes of Mousedom on a heroic journey unraveling clues through London. 74 min.

Elementary Craft

Just for kids in K - 5th grade.  Held one Wednesday a month from 3 - 4 p.m. in the first floor Community Room (unless otherwise noted).  Seating is limited: registration is required and begins the day of the previous month's craft.  To register click on this link to the calendar of children's events.

R.E.A.D. Club

A book discussion group for kids in 3rd - 5th grade. The books will be available for check out when you register. Registration begins at each meeting for the next meeting. Kids should read the book before the group meets and arrive ready to discuss the book, eat yummy snacks and go on a scavenger hunt!  The group meets the last Tuesday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m. in the second floor conference room. Video Games for Kids

For kids in 1st through 5th grade. Usually the first Monday of each month, from 4 - 5 p.m. in the second floor Storytime Room. Play video games on our PS3, XBox 360 and/or Wii consoles. Play our games or bring your favorite to share (rated E games only).  Reading Is Dog Gone Fun

Children, ages 6 to 11, are invited to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to Huey, a lovable St. Bernard. Registration is required.
