Weekly Storytimes - August 25 - December 17

Storytimes are free and no registration is required. All storytimes are designed with age-appropriate activities that include books, music, nursery rhymes and fingerplays.

There will be NO storytimes March 29 - April 2.
Mother Goose Time
Designed for birth – 24 months and their caregivers.
Duration : 20 min.
Tuesdays – 9:30 a.m. – prewalkers
Tuesdays – 10:30 a.m. – walkers

Thursdays – 9:30 a.m. – walkers
Time for Twos
For 2-year olds & their caregivers.
Duration: 30 min.
Tuesdays – 11:15 a.m.
Wednesdays – 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays – 10:30 a.m.
On Your Own Time
For 3, 4 & 5 year-olds without their caregivers.
Duration: 30 min.
Tuesdays – 1:30 p.m.
Thursdays – 11:15 a.m.
Pajama Time
Family storytime for kids birth to 5 year-olds and their families.
Duration: 30 min.

Movies for Kids

Held in the second floor Storytime Room. Come to the Library the second Friday of each month to watch a movie on the big screen. B.Y.O.S. Bring your own snacks!  Recommended for ages 3 and up. Please call for information about movie titles, 407-623-3300, ext. 4.

March 12, 10 a.m. - Disney's animated version of the classic tale, Robin Hood. 83 min.
April 9, 10 a.m. - In the heart of Paris, an eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat.  79 min.
May 7, 10 a.m. - The Jetsons move to outer space; they soon discover, however, that George's company is destroying the environment. With his family's help, George is able to work out an arrangement that benefits the ecology and the factory. 82 min.

Elementary Craft

Just for kids in K - 5th grade.  Held one Wednesday a month from 3 - 4 p.m. in the first floor Community Room (unless otherwise noted).  Seating is limited: registration is required and begins the day of the previous month's craft.  To register click on this link to the calendar of children's events.

R.E.A.D. Club

A book discussion group for kids in 4th and 5th grade. The books will be available for check out when you register. Registration begins at each meeting for the next meeting. Kids should read the book before the group meets and arrive ready to discuss the book, eat yummy snacks and go on a scavenger hunt!  The group meets one Tuesday a month from 4 to 5 p.m. in the second floor conference room. Video Games for Kids

For kids in 1st through 5th grade. Usually the first Monday of each month, from 4 - 5 p.m. in the second floor Storytime Room. Play video games on our PS3, XBox 360 and/or Wii consoles. Play our games or bring your favorite to share (rated E games only). Space is limited; registration is recommended. Click on the date of the event to register.

 Reading Is Dog Gone Fun

Children, ages 6 to 11, are invited to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to Huey, a lovable St. Bernard. Registration is required.
