Reserve a Room

Winter Park Library has Collaboration Rooms, Adult Study Rooms, and Youth Study Rooms available for our members to reserve for free during Library business hours. The Library also offers a Recording Studio for reservation. Reservations require a full service Winter Park resident card or a purchased Non-resident card. Light snacks and refreshments are allowed (no catering or hot meals).

  • Reservations can be made up to twelve times per month, per card (restrictions apply for Youth Study rooms).
  • Reservations can be made up to three months in advance.
  • Each reservation may last up to four hours.
  • Users may not enter the room until the reservation begins and should leave when the  reservation ends.
  • The Library is not responsible for items left in the room. Please make arrangements to secure your belongings if you need to leave during your reservation.
  • Please allow up to two business days for approval and/or response to Collaboration Rooms, Youth Study Rooms, and Recording Studio requests.
  • All users are expected to adhere to the Library Code of Conduct while using a room.

The Library Director and/or the Board of Trustees are authorized to deny permission to use Library rooms to any person or group if:

  • They are disorderly or violate the Library Code of Conduct.
  • The anticipated meeting is likely to be unreasonably disruptive to routine Library functions.
  • It is too large for the applicable room capacity.

The Library Director and/or the Board of Trustees may determine whether any proposed use of a room will necessitate a police detail or other extraordinary security. If the Library determines that additional security is necessary, the person/group/organization seeking to rent the space will be required to pay the Library, in advance of the meeting, the anticipated sum of the police protection. In making these determinations, the Director and/or Board of Trustees may take into consideration:

  • The history of the group’s room use and/or behavior in the Library
  • Any information deemed appropriate and it/they may consult with local law enforcement

Collaboration Rooms

Spaces for up to six people (Collaboration Rooms 1 & 2) and eight to ten people (Collaboration Room 3) located on the second floor. Contains a whiteboard, dry erase markers, and eraser. One wall displays a smart screen. Not soundproof.

Reservations are valid for up to fifteen minutes after start time. After fifteen minutes, the reservation may be cancelled and/or made available to the next person.

Adult Study Rooms

Small spaces for one or two people located on the first floor. Contains a whiteboard, dry erase markers, and eraser. Not soundproof.

Reservations are valid for up to fifteen minutes after start time. After fifteen minutes, the reservation may be cancelled and/or made available to the next person.

Youth Study Rooms

Small spaces for one or two people located on the second floor. Contains a whiteboard, dry erase markers, and eraser. Not soundproof. Adults may only reserve these rooms from 9am-2pm M-F. After 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, and all day on Saturday and Sunday, only adults who are accompanying and actively supervising a child will be permitted to use/reserve the Youth Study Rooms.

Recording Studio

The Recording Studio is acoustically treated with access to industry-standard recording software, microphones, a midi-controller with 88 fully weighted keys and more. Sessions may be booked for up to two hours.

Reservations must be made at least two business days before your session.
