Winter Park Library and Rifle Paper Co. Collaborate for National Library Card Sign Up Month

 

In celebration of National Library Card Sign Up Month, Winter Park Library is thrilled to announce an innovative collaboration with Winter Park's renowned stationery and lifestyle brand, Rifle Paper Co. This exclusive partnership aims to inspire our local community to embrace the wealth of knowledge and creativity that their Library offers.

Central to this collaboration is the unveiling of a custom-made, special edition library card, designed by Rifle Paper Co. This unique card pays homage to Winter Park's iconic peacocks, beloved local residents who have long enchanted the community with their vibrant beauty, and features illustrations inspired by Rifle Paper Co. Co-Founder and CCO Anna Bond’s hand-painted illustrations. Available starting September 7, the special edition library card is a symbol of unity between the rich history of Winter Park Library and the artistic spirit of Rifle Paper Co.

The design of the special edition library card draws inspiration from Winter Park's rich heritage and the enduring spirit of Winter Park Library. It pays homage to the historic moment when the Winter Park Library began in 1885 and celebrates the Library's evolution into a new modern, state-of-the-art facility which opened in December 2021.

In addition to the exclusive Library card, Rifle Paper Co. extends a warm invitation to cardholders with a generous incentive: a 10% discount on their exquisite stationery offerings at their Winter Park shop in Hannibal Square.

“Rifle Paper Co. was founded in 2009 in the heart of Winter Park so we are honored to introduce this new design for the Winter Park Library featuring hand-painted peacock illustrations," shared Rifle Paper Co. Co-Founder Anna Bond. "As a nod to the iconic emblem of Winter Park, it features magnificent peacocks perched on winding branches, surrounded by blooming flowers and leaves. This project is a special way to celebrate literature and creativity for our beloved local community."

How to Get A Card

If you are a Winter Park resident, Winter Park Chamber member or local educator with a Winter Park Library card, a Special Edition Library Card can be obtained with a small suggested donation of $5 at the West Desk.

For all other users, the card is available for a nominal fee, a contribution that supports the Library's mission while championing education for all.
